Make the most of your watermelon this summer!
 
1.  Use a melon-baler to scoop out the fruit and keep in containers in the fridge for quick snacking.
2.  Use a potato peeler to peel the rind.  Throw the peel in the compost. 
3.  Slice up the rind and make watermelon rind pickles!  Place the sliced rind in a container with 1:1 ratio of water and vinegar.  Add salt and pepper and cover in the fridge to pickle. 

After a few hours you can begin to snack on your pickles.  Waste not, want not.
