Is She Dressed for His Return?

Posted by Julie Branstetter on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, In : Ministry

No prophet or messenger from God ever came to God's people saying, "Hey, you're doing a great job, keep that up." No, be careful that the voice crying out in the desert to make straight the paths for the King isn't the one that offends you or the one referred to as "tearing down" the church. Those who tear down the church attempt to correct her without any direction or hope for how things will be made better. Those who tear down the church also are those who help her keep sleeping and ...

Sowing and Reaping

Posted by Julie Branstetter on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, In : Ministry
"A good man will obtain favor from the LORD, But He will condemn a man who devises evil." Proverbs 12:2

It sounds simple but for someone who cannot discern well between what is good (by worldly standards) and what is Godly (more highly preferred), it might not be so clear and the wrong choices lead to unpleasant consequences.  You can't work iniquity and then run from it and expect it not to catch up with you.

I would rather suffer the pain of a thousand heart breaks than to receive the wa...

He Will Establish You

Posted by Julie Branstetter on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, In : Ministry

In Matthew Chapter 16 we see two stories back to back that reveal much about the way Christians can act and it isn’t always how Christ would desire. We are being molded and shaped on a daily basis, as we walk with the Lord, just like the disciples were when they walked with Him. We are sometimes no different than the double minded apostle, Simon Peter. He was the disciple with the foot shaped mouth. In verses 13-17, Jesus asks the disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?” ...

I Will Too

Posted by Julie Branstetter on Sunday, May 3, 2015, In : Ministry

About service this morning.... my heart is still so tender over it... I mean tender. My husband and I were just talking about it have both been brought to tears over again. There were many portions of worship that were a great blessing... the worship (music) was so God exalting, it was wonderful... The message was so uplifting and on point and truthful and it was wonderful. BUT out of it all the part that touched us to the very core is something we have done in different churches...

In The House

Posted by Julie Branstetter on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, In : Ministry

Gracious did I have a dream last night....   Let me try to share it.

It is March 17th, the day we celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day.  Saint Patrick was the Apostle to Ireland, where he had been taken as a young boy to be a slave.  When he became a cleric he went back to Ireland as a missionary.  Ironically the verses that accompany the message in my dream each have the number 17 in them.  So perhaps this is a timely message.

I believe God wants revival in the church even more than...

You Must Be Born Again

Posted by Julie Branstetter on Friday, March 6, 2015, In : Ministry

“Ye must be born again.” - John 3:7

Jesus said, "And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.  For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.  But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.” (John 3:19-21)

Jesus made it clear that we cannot be ...

Humiliation

Posted by Julie Branstetter on Monday, March 2, 2015, In : Ministry
In prayer I asked God why He lets me be humiliated in front of people so much.  (Sorry, but sometimes I feel like the biggest mess up in the room because I am) and I told Him I would follow Him and do whatever He asked of me but please please don't let me keep being humiliated... His response..."My greatest ministry for my children required my complete humiliation. Can you imagine having all the power in the world to end it but having to endure it anyway for your sake? Don't think it will be ...

In God's Time

Posted by Julie Branstetter on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, In : Ministry

For those who are in waiting... I have something to say to you.

Prayer is done in man's time. Answer to prayer is done in God's time. You cannot "pray enough" to finally make God answer you. God is not ignoring you. God hears you from the start and has imparted the best answer for you, even before you ask, and at the very right moment, which only God in His infinite wisdom can know, the answer will come to you. Through the prophet Isaiah, in chapter 65 verse 24, God said, "I will an...

Get Back On The Table

Posted by Julie Branstetter on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, In : Ministry
This is a skit that I wrote to help illustrate what it has been like for me to allow God to prepare me for ministry.  Hopefully this will encourage others that God will always take you back on the table.  Because He's good.

Narrator:  All too often when God is working on us we leap off of the table the minute He begins to dress our wounds.  We pray for God to heal us and then as soon as it starts to hurt we run from Him and then ask Him why He’s not healing us.  Christian brother and sis...

Living and Dying In The Same Place

Posted by Julie Branstetter on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, In : Ministry
Christ knows what living and dying in the same place is. He was both living and dying on that cross. That is such a symbol of what life in this world is like for us as Christians. Until He returns we die to ourselves daily and live in Christ at the same time and some days it just feels like more dying than living but let me encourage you today. THERE WAS A RESURRECTION!! And that is His gift to you and me. You can stand up under the pressure of today because of the hope of glory. ...

F is for FAIL

Posted by Julie Branstetter on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, In : Ministry

A B C D and E always come before F!
I hate F.  F is for FAIL!  I failed.  What in the world is wrong with me?
But there is a reason God allows us to keep seeing the F for FAIL in our life (even when we've coasted on the B for a long time) and that is so He can begin to cause us to notice, E, then D, then C, then B and finally live, eternally in the image of Christ, in the area of A.  Maybe I'm not the only one.  Maybe you failed this week?  That's okay, start looking for what happened JUST befo...

Guarding Their Hearts

Posted by Julie Branstetter on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, In : Ministry

Phil 2:3-4 "Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with HUMILITY OF MIND regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others."  >>  I woke up at 4:30 this morning having had a dream.  The body of Christ was in a worship service and we were singing songs I've never heard before.  God was being exalted and worshiped on a greater level than ever, because of the hearts of the people.  I'll ke...

Hands Full of Blessing

Posted by Julie Branstetter on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, In : Ministry

Would you rather be the hungry person sitting under a tree when the apple falls or the person who climbs the tree and shakes the apples down into the hands of the hungry. The one who shakes the apples down has all he needs to start with. He's already in the tree with the apples.... Climb the tree, don't just sit under it.

It is an attack of the enemy to make people think too much about what they don't have and not enough about the wonderful things they do have. Where ever satan can p...

Faith For Today

Posted by Julie Branstetter on Monday, November 3, 2014, In : Ministry

It amazes me to see how God works.  Some of the most significant things He does are often done through people who have no idea what He is doing or what the affect of what they are going through is having outside of their circumstances.  When we are climbing up difficult mountains in our lives we know by faith in God's goodness and promises that there is a top of the mountain moment coming but all we can see and feel is the enormity of the mountain. The cliffs are steep, the places where we ne...

The Devourer's Game

Posted by Julie Branstetter on Sunday, September 7, 2014, In : Ministry

The sins we struggle with today are really no different than the sins Israel struggled with so often in Scripture.  The biggest of them all is idolatry.  Do we seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness first or second or last?  The crazy thing is that these idols are traps designed to destroy us.  We think they bring us pleasure, but they are destroying us.  When we choose to be online for hours but can't find time to read scripture for 10 minutes, we've allowed an idol to set up i...

Where Is Your God?

Posted by Julie Branstetter on Sunday, September 7, 2014, In : Ministry

WHERE IS YOUR GOD?

"And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? If the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word." ~ 1 Kings 18:21

We still have prophets today, the problem is that even professing Christians have joined the ranks of persecuting them.  They've been called bible beaters and modern day pharisees, and these do sometimes exist, but not nearly on the level at which accusatio...

God (still) With Us

Posted by Julie Branstetter on Sunday, September 7, 2014, In : Ministry

Christmas is not only a reminder that God came to us to be close to us and to reconcile us to Himself, but remember as we cross the threshold of a new year, God is STILL with us, day after day after day.

“And the LORD shall guide thee continually.” - Isa_58:11

In the Old Testament the Lord told Moses that He would not go through the wilderness before his people, an angel should go before them to lead them in the way; but Moses said, “If thy presence go not with me, carry us not...
