Romans 12:15 ~ "Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep."

There is only One who can see the whole picture; the One who is the beginning and end of everything, He is the Lord.  Humans rarely see a full picture but we make decisions as if we do.  When we look at other people's lives we tend to try to measure ourselves with them side by side and many times one of two things happen.  Either haughtiness or envy sets in.  To what degree, it varies, but because we cannot see the whole picture we usually always end up with the wrong assumption.  Some people might look at my life and think it is far too simple, maybe even think we are terribly poor based on their own standards and what they can see.  Others might see one or two blessings and think we have it made and never have any problems and life is handed to us.  Neither of those assumptions are accurate because no one but us can see the whole picture of our lives and even we do not always see our own full picture.  Even we need God to show us the reality of our own lives sometimes, we can't possibly know someone else's.  It is always good to remember that when we look at others we should look with encouraging eyes and not measuring eyes.  My mother would always tell me growing up not to compare myself with others or I will either be proud or jealous.  Comparing never ever just leaves us content.  Someone wins and someone loses every time.  It is a trick of the enemy, satan,  to draw us into this game.  Parents do it, especially mothers.  It is awful the way women will treat each other over comparisons and it's all for nothing.  It is a tool of division the enemy uses because he knows that together we are very very strong but divided up we will even destroy ourselves.  Divided up, he doesn't even have to fight against us, we will destroy ourselves.  We are supposed to weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice, not weep when others are blessed and rejoice when they struggle.  The next time you are tempted to think someone has it all together and never struggles at all, remember that you didn't see them trying to get their resistant children ready and out the door for school that morning, or see them struggling to put dinner on their table every night, nor did you probably see them scratch their heads trying to figure out how to make a dollar pay a two dollar debt.  A mile in another person's shoes can never be fully obtained.  So resign yourself to weep when others weep and rejoice when they rejoice and you will find greater contentment in your relationships.  We are, after all, on the same team.   #TeamJesus  #Rejoice  #Weep
